I have been tinkering with wordpress for years, but in 2015 I got really serious and started learning wordpress programming.
This is also the year when I got connected with local WordPress community (and many wonderful people out there) and also attended my first wordcamp in Philly.
Note that I started blogging back in 2003 when I tried all main publishing platforms – blogger.com, wordpress.com and livejournal.com – but at the same time google acquired blogger.com – which finally pushed my decision to settle with blogger.com as ease of single sign on and availability of many templates.
Also, I did not felt like owning my own domain and was happy with a blogger.com subdomain. Still, I kept tinkering with blogger templates and wordpress package (on my local) and decided I will move to wordpress hosted own domain “when the time comes”
Finally it was in 2015, then I felt the call and decided to get my own domain and get rolling with WordPress.
