Laaga Chunari Mein Daag – Song by Song music review

Chunari Mein Daag
Good news is this is the best track of the movie. Bad news is all other tracks are pathetic.
Anyways, since this is the title track, so i think it will be shown all throughtout the movie – causing some relief to those looking forward to watch movie.
The song has a nice slow start and then it catches pace. And then it progresses on nice rythm and a ghostly female voice which has become trademark in many hindi songs these days.
If someone says, on the contrary, that this is pathetic track and there is nothing good about it – i think they will not be wrong. I just found this one bearable as compared to other tracks.

Ehi Thaiyaa Moti
Since this seems to be a movie which will be “closed to our indian roots” – so i expected at least one indian classical song in the movie which it seems is this one. But it failed to strike any chord with me – and to be very frank is quite forgettable.
(just for the record – dont have the impression that I dont like classical songs in hindi movies – “Jhonka Hawa Ka” from HDDCS is one of my all time favs)

Hum To Aise Hein
This song is shown on all the promos till now – and i had some hopes from this song but i am very much disappointed. I found it quite boring and irritating to be frank.
Anyways, This song reminds me of “Chote Chote Shehron Se” from “Bunty and Bubli” and “Panga Na Le” from “Makdee” – both of which are my favs.

Ik Teekhi Teekhi Si Ladki
This song is again taken away from some of the songs … i dont rememeber which one.
(maybe “Mere dil jigar se guzri hai” from “Soldier” and “Ik bagiya mein rehti hai ek maina” from a prabhu deva movie – name i dont remember)

Kachchi Kaliyaan
From the sound of it – this should be a “Shaadi Song” in movie. It is another song which seems inspired from “Chote Chote Shehron Se” from “Bunty and Bubli”.

Zara Gungunalein Chalo
The song starts from some french / italian lines … and then moves on to pathetic lyrics of “zara gunguna lein chalo, zara muskara chalo”.
